This tutorial requires the following tools (or tools with similar&lt;br /&gt;

Today I&amp;#039;ll demonstrate how to create a texture, that&amp;#039;ll glow without&lt;br /&gt;
the need for lightmaps. This is done by using glowmaps.&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
1. First of all, we&amp;#039;ll need to make a directory for all the files. Go&lt;br /&gt;
to the directory to where PAS was installed in.&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Once there, go into the folder named &amp;quot;packages&amp;quot; and create a directory&lt;br /&gt;
named platinite within it&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
it should look similar to this&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;

next up, we need to open up the gimp, and tell it open a new image.&lt;br /&gt;
When asked for height and width, enter 32 for the width, and 16 for the&lt;br /&gt;
height.&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Once you&amp;#039;ve done that, just zoom in a few times, so it&amp;#039;ll look like&lt;br /&gt;

Next up, we&amp;#039;ll need to select an inner area, roughly 26x10 pixels. Use&lt;br /&gt;
the rectangle tool (R) to make a selection, with each corner, being 3&lt;br /&gt;
pixels from each of the image&amp;#039;s edges.&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
We should have something like this afterwards, ready for colouring in&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;

now to colour in our image. Select black, and colour the whole middle&lt;br /&gt;
area. Afterwards, press ctrl + i, and colour the border a darkish grey.&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;

6. Next, under the blur, and select the inner bit, with colour select&lt;br /&gt;

Invert the selection again, and colour the outer bit black, as we dont&amp;#039;&lt;br /&gt;
want that to shine.&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Now, select all again (ctrl + a), and run the blur filter 3 times.&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
The reason for the blur once again is to make it look softer.&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
The images should now look like this, save it as lighta_g.jpg.&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;

I can&amp;#039;t stress it enough to make sure the extension is CFG and not TXT.&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;

The&lt;br /&gt;
setshader will set a shader for the textures to use, here we&amp;#039;re telling&lt;br /&gt;
it to use the glowworld one, which takes a texture, and one in a glow&lt;br /&gt;
map slot.&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
The setpixelparam is a command that sets attributes of&lt;br /&gt;
certain shaders. With glowworld, param 0 is the glow colour. As we&lt;br /&gt;
already set the colour in the image, just leave the RGB at 1 1 1.&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
texture 0 loads a new texture&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
texture g loads a glowmap to use with the last texture loaded with&lt;br /&gt;
texture 0&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;

We&amp;#039;re not done yet. We still need to put this in a map cfg. But I&lt;br /&gt;
suspect there&amp;#039;s no point in that. so return to the base of your PAS&lt;br /&gt;
directory, and go into data.&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
We&amp;#039;ll be modifying the defaults here. So open up&lt;br /&gt;
default_map_settings.cfg with notepad or something already.&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Add the line&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
